African Djembe Drumming

Class times: Friday 6.00pm-7.00pm - Starts Friday 20th September

Enjoy the power of rhythm of drumming

African drumming is an uplifting and joyous experience and is a great way to develop your rhythm and percussion skills in a guided group environment. African drumming is accessible to anyone and the Djembe drum is a great instrument to learn how to play. Enjoy African beats and experience the joy of playing the drum alongside like-minded people. A wonderful way to meet new people in a fun, friendly and relaxed environment. The African Drumming class is suitable for complete beginners and those with previous experience of African drumming The class is suitable for ages 8 to adult and is open to all.   This class is funded by the National Lottery.

Ukulele Improvers Class

Class times: Tuesday 4.20pm-5.20pm

These popular group ukulele sessions are perfect for anyone who loves to play the ukulele and would like to improve their skills, gain expert tuition and play alongside others. You will learn to play a wide selection of songs from pop, folk, world, jazz, blues and more! All music lessons are tailored to suit the needs and wishes of the group. Students must bring their own ukulele to the class. The ukulele is a fun and enjoyable instrument to learn. New students are welcome!

Eden Blue Folk Orchestra

Class times: Monday 8.00pm-10.00pm - Call for further information

The Folk Group / Folk Orchestra is a group for local musicians. Instruments such as fiddles, mandolins, pipes, whistles, melodeons, accordians, guitars, basses, ukulele, percussion, etc are welcome. The Folk Group / Orchestra is a mixed ability group although some playing skills are needed, together with a willingness to learn and practice.

The Folk Orchestra is a chance to get together and play with others, and learn some repertoire, based on British, French and American folk traditions.
