About the class
Barre Pilates is a dynamic fusion of ballet movements, Pilates and functional strength training. Using the support of the ballet barre, you’ll move through small, controlled movements, pulses, stretches, and balances that challenge your core, improve your posture, and build long, lean muscles. We also use small hand weights, resistance bands and mat-based Pilates excercises to give you a full body workout. Barre Pilates is accompanied by upbeat music that keeps you motivated and uplifted throughout the class.

Talie has been teaching Pilates for over ten years. She trained with Body Control Pilates in London and later became a supervising teacher for trainees. Pilates has helped her personally rehab following being hit by a 4by4. This inspired Talie to help others rehabilitate and led to further training with Alan Herdman & Mary Bowen. Talie loves the transformative power of pilates that helps people regain fluidity of movement, stability and strength. Above all she believes Pilates should be challenging and fun.

Weekly Sound Meditation & Gong Baths
Do you feel like you need a little 'me' time? Would you benefit from an hour to yourself where you can leave the stresses of every day life behind? During our weekly sound meditation sessions, you can lie back, relax and allow the transformative power of sound to soothe and rejuvenate your mind and body.
You will have the opportunity to experience the healing sounds and frequencies of Gongs, crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, koshi chimes and other soothing instruments to bring about a deep sense of relaxation and inner calm. Sound Meditation offers an hour for you to de-stress and journey to new and exciting destinations on a path to reach your higher consciousness.

My classes are for everyone, whether you are brand new to yoga or have lots of experience, I am passionate about sharing the amazing benefits of yoga for health and well-being.
About the class
We begin the class with some mindful relaxation and breathwork, then begin to awaken the body with some gentle stretches, before moving through a series of poses to build strength and energise the body. I always offer options and props so as everyone can get the most out of the class. We finish with a final relaxation exercise where we can soak up the benefits of our practice together.

I have lived in Eastbourne for over 20 years and I love being part of the Old Town Community. I have been practising yoga for many years and recently qualified as a Hatha and Vinyasa Flow teacher. Yoga has transformed my life and I want to share that wonderful experience with others.
