Teacher: Ashley
About the class
This Yoga class is a welcoming class suitable for all levels. Each session begins with a gentle settling-in relaxation and breath awareness, before moving into a yoga sequence where mindful movement meets traditional yoga practice. The class explores areas of the body that may not always be reached in a typical yoga class, with an emphasis on developing body awareness and creating space for deeper relaxation. Time is also given at the end of the practice to allow the body and mind to fully process and absorb the experience.
While suitable for all abilities, the class offers an opportunity for many people to develop a deeper awareness of their yoga practice and their relationship with their body.
About Ashley
Ashley's yoga journey began over 15 years ago, after spending her late teens and early twenties struggling with a naturally very flexible body. She now understands this as hypermobility, a condition that can affect the body’s connective tissues and have wider impacts on areas such as mental and gut health.
Over the years, yoga has become an integral part of her own wellbeing. The combination of mindful movement, breathwork, meditation and yogic lifestyle practices has played a key role in supporting her health and helping her reconnect with the world around her in ways she once never thought possible.
Sharing these practices with others is at the heart of what she does. She finds great fulfilment in watching people develop greater awareness of themselves, grow in confidence and learn to nourish their own wellbeing. Having also worked in mental health for many years, she draws on her professional experience alongside her yoga training to offer a compassionate and supportive approach, helping clients work towards their individual goals.

Teacher: Dale
About the class
This class follows the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Level 1 sequence and is designed specifically for beginners of all ages. The practice focuses on building physical strength, developing body awareness and helping to reduce stress.
Dale has also completed a Breathwork course led by Breath Master Dan Brule. Before each session, time is taken to settle in and arrive, using breathwork to help stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system. By encouraging the body to move into a more relaxed state, the practice creates a calmer and lighter space to begin the yoga session.
Throughout the class, we work through a set sequence of asanas (postures), beginning with standing postures before moving into seated postures. Variations are introduced where appropriate to accommodate individual needs and abilities, while also providing opportunities to develop and deepen the practice.
One of the benefits of working with a set sequence is that, as the postures become more familiar, less thought and concentration are required. This allows the mind to become quieter and creates more space for a deeper connection with the body and breath.
Over time, the familiar sequence also provides a wonderful way to notice your own progress. As strength, confidence and awareness develop, you can begin to recognise the changes within your practice - something that can be incredibly rewarding in itself.
'The body benefits from movement and the mind benefits from stillness'.
Sakyong Mipham.
